Social work internships, field placements and volunteer opportunities are available at the NASW-NC Chapter office and across the State. There are currently 3 staff members available to supervise social work students.
*All internships for the 2013-2014 school year are filled.
*At this time, all of our interns must be in a BSW or MSW social work program in North Carolina.
If you are interested in social work administration, grant writing and other fund development, Macro Social work, marketing, and working with boards of directors and other professional organizations, Contact Kathy Boyd, MSW, ACSW, Executive Director.
If you are interested in social work advocacy, lobbying, policy development, grassroots organizing, community building, working with coalitions, solving interdisciplinary problems, candidate endorsement and election, and writing position statements, Contact Kay Paksoy, Director of Advocacy, Policy, & Legislation.

Please note that these internships are fulfilled through BSW or MSW programs with local universities. Keep in mind that experiences at the legislative building depend on the time of your internship and when the legislators are in session.
